Fishes that walks on trees, dangerous bushes, six meter long lizards and tree trunks spurting with colours where just few amongs many creatures that apeared in Sao Paulo during unforgotable Projecto Fishing.

Realisation of the project not coincidentally took a pleace in a Park designed by an amasing landscape architect and artist Roberto Burle Marx,  located on the border of the largest favela in Sao Paulo and wealthy district. The intencion of the project was to integrate the neigborhood of both parts.

In the thicket of grass – cardboard mushrooms, on the tree – wool mistletoe, hidden in the branches – a spider’s web, in the sky – a plush cloud. In September 2011, during the mushrooming, the Foundation of Forms and Shapes changed the Culture Park in Powsin into a forest of uncanny installations. The success of previously mentioned project triggered its “sequel” – the mushrooming in the capital of Czech Republic!

The event in Warsaw was welcomed with warm enthusiasm, that is why Iza Rutkowska the project’s coordinator and creator decided to move it to Czech soil where mushrooming is considered to be a national tradition. On the fourth day of November 2012, the cardboard mushrooms and morels, designed by Robert Czajka, were gather by czech citizens in the Stromovka park. This year’s mushrooming challenge stood open before the designers form Czech Republic : Studio DeForm, Trash Made/Linda Čihařová, Qubus, Jania Prokaič, Jan Cincera and Daniel Gonzalez. At the entrance to the Park Stromovka, everyone received a special Atlas of Mushrooms and (fortunately with a map!:) set off in search of mushrooms and exceptional instalations.

It was great Sunday with the Polish innovativie thinking and the best Czech design. In addition – in nature.

Bait Monument, puffed, flying and infinite fish, as well as a harmful catfish, earthworms to sit on and “Sieciska” – furniture inspired by fishermen’s nets. After the success that was Mushrooming in autumn of 2011 in Park Kultury in Powsin the time has come to introduce “city people” to the idea of fishing in their “natural” habitat. Objects that we will catch on 23 September 2012 in Moczydlo Park will be unique and each will be prepared by a different designer.

Project comissioned by Copernicus Science Center for it’s Przemiany Festival is a walk proposal. Route: Powiśle’s craftsmen worshops, changed into micro-galleries for the duration of the festival.

In every nook of Warsaw’s Powisle district we can find a forgotten, but still operating cratfstman workshop. Iza Rutkowska from Forms and Shapes Foundation decided to introduce the craftsmen with designers and invite them to work together. The goal of the project was to create objects that would add a new perspective to chosen places. The works were inspired by local myths and stories told by the owners of the workshops.

Designers invited to the project: Ania Piwowar/La Polka, Marta i Lech Rowińscy/Beton, Gosia Rygalik, Jacek Kołodziejski and Robert Czajka worked with a cobbler, turner , glazier, seamstress and in a mangle. Iza Rutkowska herself worked with a carpenter.

Eugene is a moveable playground designed by polish designers, that was commissioned by National Audiovisual Institute for Inauguration of Polish Presidency in European Union.

The idea of Eugene is promote gripping experimental projects for kids. Main goal is to inspire artists, teachers, parents as well as kids. Children can enter or climb Eugene’s NOSE, pull his HAIR, enter MOUTH, check if his EYES are as beautiful as they say or drop by the EAR for a concert. Eugene is a traveler, he moves a lot to teach and play with kids around the country. So far he visited Rzeszów, Olsztyn and Katowice.

Cardboard mushrooms in the thicket of grass, a woolen mistletoe on the tree, a spider-web between branches and a plush cloud in the sky. In September 2011 during the Mushrooming Forms and Shapes Foundation turned the Culture Park in near Warsaw Powsin into a forest full of unconventional installations.

Iza Rutkowska, inspired by mushrooming, still a lively tradition in Poland, invited over a dozen designers to help her transform the forest into an art gallery.

At the entrance to the “exhibition” has been maps, mushroom atlases and “baskets” have been distributed. Collecting cardboard mushrooms by Robert Czajka one could suddenly come across the forest installations. Contrary to traditional exhibition spaces, it was necessary to remain vigilant in order not to miss anything while walking along the winding paths.

World full of talking bugs and plants was created by Forms and Shapes Foundation as a part of “Culture 2.0” project realized by National Audiovisual Institute.

Right after entering the insect-world not only were we delighted by colorful bugs projected on the walls but also helped in construction and made them move. Bugs were a part of a whole together with interactive, talking and move-sensitive plants. We put together pieces of virtual bugs and plants on touchscreens and printed the results on a laser printer and then take them home. BUGS project took place during Culture 2.0: Media-Aware Conference 2011.

Public space is an area that every single one of us can create from a scratch, shape it and decide how it is going to look like. All we need is an idea and the right tools and building a city according to our own vision becomes possible.

Truly believing the things said above Iza Rutkowska from Foundation of Forms and Shapes created CONSTRUCTION SITE, a project where inhabitants of small town have an opportunity to give chosen elements of fabric of the city a new meaning, fill the missing parts or reshape them completely.

Saviors Square is the alternative center of Warsaw, filled with florists that share amazing stories, coffehouses and workshops that were set up during the reconstruction of the capital after the war.Our goal was to reshape the place for one day and turn it into Sa(rt)vior Square – a space for people to have fun with art in.

On the eve of Children’s Day, for all of those who believe “growing up” doesn’t mean putting off kite or scooter or climbing the trees, we prepared a number of activities, together with drawers, musicians, cooks and a philosopher. The activities were performed clockwise. The participants had 8 stages to complete:

1. Info Point – where the participants were handed maps and could learn about the project.
2. Relax Point – a creation of Aleskandra Klupinska Imagination Platform, where people could relax on fresh green grass while listening to the sounds of the sea.
3. Graphic Point – where one could pose with head cut out photo boards designed by Endo, Tymek  Jezierski, Arobal and Robert Czajka and got to construct Re-bots with members of Vlepvnet.
4. Competition Point – where blueprints for an original toy were submitted. The winning designs were chosen by jury of Artur Frankowski, Zuza Ziomecka and Krzysztof Ginter with parents and featured Carpets by Agnieszka Czop and Joanna Rusin, Bubble-meter by Moomoo Archtiects and Games by E&E.
5. Music Point where participants got to test recycled instruments together with KuSza – a duo of Norbert Kubacz and Paweł Szamburski.
6. Food Point – where people learned how to make polish Sushi and swapped recipes with Magda Ponagajbo, Asia Dziurewicz, Asia Jakubowicz and Paulina Sieniarska, the authors of “Klapsa or conference – how to eat and not get eaten”.
7. Philosophy Point – a place for building philosophical towers from Lego blocks together with Jarosław Marek Spychała, the author of Lego-Logos theory
8. Construction Point – where Krzysztof Czajka showed how one could design his own chair using cardboard, a ruler and a pair of scissors

The residents of Saviors Square: the florists, coffeehouses as well as Machine Repair Plant all took part in the event.
